⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️
While this is a work of fiction, its message touches on some very real subjects: mental health, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. I have zero intention to hurt or trigger anyone. My work is to remind people of the beauty and other amazing things that exist in life

I can’t provide medical advice or therapy; what I can offer is a place to use your imagination, get creative, play, and have fun. Using creation and its wonders

How does my story tie into mental health?
It’s my way of showing the beautiful and amazing things that often go unnoticed in the world. The Laminae did, at first, live the only way they knew. Their world crashing down wasn’t the end; it’s the beginning. A second chance to see the world in a new way.

History is to be made as the Laminae’s world is no longer Mito and enters an era and world called..

A new world that celebrates life
Syn is short for synapse

Examples:
꩜ Effective over a long distance or time, it has been seen that the object will change form in order to bring another object closer and loop out the interfering object
꩜ Small objects that control the process by acting to stop target identities at the gateway process
꩜ A process that involves several logical orders to create a functional object
Intermembrane Space:
The narrow space located between the outer and inner membranes
Small Molecules:
The IMS has a similar concentration of small molecules like ions and sugars as the cytosol, as the outer membrane is freely permeable to them
Proteins:
It contains a specific set of proteins that are distinct from those in the cytosol. For instance, cytochrome c, a key protein involved in initiating programmed cell death, is localized in the IMS
Energy Conversion:
The IMS houses components of the electron transport chain, a vital part of the cellular respiration process that generates energy
Programmed Cell Death (Apoptosis):
It acts as a reservoir for pro-apoptotic proteins, such as cytochrome c and AIF. Their release into the cytosol triggers the apoptotic cascade
Metabolic Regulation:
Various enzymes and transporters in the IMS contribute to overall cellular metabolism
Protein Import:
Larger proteins must pass through specific import mechanisms to enter the IMS, sometimes binding to chaperone proteins like the Tim9–Tim10 complex for transport to the inner membrane
Subcompartments:
The IMS can be subdivided into two parts: the external IMS, located between the outer and inner membranes, and the intracristae space, within the invaginations of the inner membrane (cristae)
